RANDOM RECIPE
Meatballs in tomato sauce on spaghetti
Dinner
Submitted by: koend
Ingredients
1kg mince 2 onions Margarine / butter Salt & pepper for taste Parsley 2 eggs 1 teaspoon Garlic 1 chillie (optional) 1 tin chopped tomatoes 1 cup red wine (beef stock can be used or a mixture of the two) 1 pack Spaghetti
Method
Cook spaghetti al dente, drain and keep aside. Chop the onions finely and divide. Mix one onion with the mince, salt & pepper, parsley & eggs. Make meatballs to the size you prefer. Roll them in flour. Fry the left-over onion in the margarine/butter until translucent. Remove from pan. Fry meatballs brown (you can add some more butter/marg should it be necessary). Remove them from the pan. Do not clean the pan. Fry the onions, garlic, chillies and add the red wine. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for a further 5 minutes. Add the meatballs to the sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Serve on a bowl of spaghetti, with a tossed salad
